We really enjoyed our stay at the sheltered nook! It was comfortable and we had everything we needed to make meals in... the tiny home. There were so many extras that were a nice touch also, like tea and cocoa. It was a very quiet and peaceful setting to relax, but was convenient to get to town and the beach. What a treat to stay there. We loved it!read more

We loved our stay in tiny house number 5 at Sheltered Nook. The location is really convenient, close to everything... (short 5-10 min drive to town and the coast) but a little outside of town so it's very quiet and comfortable. The houses are really cleverly located in the space, giving everyone their own little spot in the community. The house is also super thoughtfully laid out with a full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and two extra, big beds in the loft upstairs too (we didn't end up using these ourselves but it's really cool as an option for a family or if you're visiting with a group so more people can stay in each house if needed). The living/dining room area was also cozy as we ate some Papa Murphy's pizza fresh out of the oven and watched some TV. We briefly encountered the workers when we were heading out and they were very friendly. We're definitely planning to stay here again when we come back to visit Tillamook! Thanks so much for everything!read more

My mom and I loved our visit here!! It's a great halfway point between camping and a hotel. It's in a very quiet... location and we slept so well hidden in the trees. Amenities were great, popcorn, coffee, hot cocoa. TV was nice to watch when it was too rainy to go outside. It's also just a short walk to Tillamook Bay which was beautiful in the rain, and about a 6 minute drive to Tillamook Creamery. The house had a fridge and freezer which was perfect for our Tillamook goodies. Definitely recommend this place! We can't wait to go back!read more

This was the cutest little tiny home village tucked away in the woods near Tillamook Bay (and right down the street... from Tillamook creamery)! The house was clean, check-in was quick, check-out was contactless, and the grounds were cozy and beautiful! The bed in the bedroom was very comfortable and the pullout bed in the living room was decently comfortable. Well equipped kitchen and very nice bathroom! We definitely recommend:)read more

Absolutely loved this place! The tiny-homes are adorable and private. Completely self contained, with gas stove and... full size fridge. Plenty of room for family and kids, with TV and wifi, and pet friendly! We only stayed overnight, could have spent days there comfortably. My only complaint would be that we stayed off season and the heaters are not strong enough to warm the place fully on a chilly nightread more

My partner and I came for a tiny weekend getaway, and ended up staying an extra night because we loved it so much and... one night just wasn’t enough. So happy that Dee was able to extend our stay! Check in and check out were easy, the property is beautiful, and the tiny house ended up being bigger than we thought. Super clean, warm, and comfortable. The kitchen was great, we cooked two delicious dinners for ourselves. The fast wifi and streaming services on the TV were a great touch as well. The perfect place for a well deserved relaxing weekend. We definitely plan on coming back.read more

This was a fun experience! We expected a very tiny space but ended up with something much more roomy and comfortable... than the typical hotel room. Our unit had wifi and access to a bunch of streaming services, which I really appreciated. The location itself is within walking distance of a large nature preserve which is great for walking the pets. I highly enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back!read more

We booked our stay from 7/3-7/6 and received an email confirmation for our stay on 6/30. When we pulled up to the... property (after a 5+ hour drive), Dee came out and kept repeating herself about not having our email or phone number (both included on the email we confirmation we received). She claimed that she had been trying to reach out to us and that we were not responding/the email kept bouncing back. When shown the email confirmation, Dee claimed that it wasn’t her who sent it. She blamed it on a new system. We were left scrambling with nowhere to stay on a holiday weekend. Buyer beware- even an email confirmation from Dee herself will not reserve your accommodations.read more

When my brother-in-law talked to Dee, on the phone she was very sweet and accommodating which made us feel comfortable... with our stay. However, when we got there, the property entrance wasn't the most welcoming and everywhere but the village was messy and unappealing. We, of course still checked in because we had seen the pictures inside the cabins and knew that they were lovely. Though when we checked in, the guy who checked us in was dressed very unprofessionally and smelt STRONGLY of alcohol.. THE CABINS WERE BEAUTIFUL AND SO CLEAN but the employees were all children that seemed stressed and owners seemed a bit unprofessional being everyone inside the "home office" smelt like they were drinking, which for the price we paid made us uncomfortable. I don't know if this is the type of business I'd want to support in the future.read more

The Sheltered Nook was AWESOME! When we first drove up it was kind of off the beaten path and not really "on the bay"... but we soon realized after a short venture that the bay was right around the corner by car and the location was quiet and perfect. The "tiny house" was amazing! So comfortable and well maintained. It was like new and was equipped with everything. We even enjoyed a warm fire outside with the supplied wood. The bathroom was plenty big and the bed very comfortable. It really was an enjoyable stay. One cool plus was they already had streaming options available. We've traveled ALOT recently and I was glad not to have to dig out the back of another hotel tv to connect my streaming device. It really was a nice touch. I can't say enough positive things about our stay there.read more

Charm, kindness, and welcoming! The Sheltered Nook is a wonderful place to stay: the staff is helpful and inviting (we... got regular updates from them via email) and the tiny homes are clean and uncluttered, with a great in-home guide to understand your tiny home. We absolutely loved our stay! The Sheltered Nook is pet friendly (they have separate amenities like a dog bath and dog paw towels) and LGBTQIA+ friendly. When not in COVID protocols, they also have bonfires and community events like wine tastings. They also have five local beers on tap!If you want to stay in the Tillamook area, this is the place!A few notes on tiny homes:- the homes do have narrow showers and the space around the bed is narrow. If you are larger in size, this may not be comfortable for you.- the tiny home has a 20 gallon hot water tank, enough for about a 10-20 minute shower. The tank regenerates in 25 minutes or so, and three of us were able to shower without issues.- the homes accommodate taller people very well, don't be worried about the ceilings- the lofts in our tiny home were best for children or young adults, as the second floor ceiling is about 4 feet tall. It's still accessible for adults, but best suited for kids- our tiny home (#3, one of the two larger homes) was comfortable for three adultsread more

Such an awesome, cozy place to stay! Had been very curious about tiny houses, and being able to stay in one in person... showed just how roomy and comfortable they are. We absolutely LOVED our stay here. Such a cute location, removed from town enough to feel like you're in nature but... close enough for a quick trip to the Tillamook cheese factory or Pelican Bay Brewing for a beer. Service was amazing - we didn't need anything but almost wanted something to go wrong so we could talk to the wonderful lady who checked us in again. Our cabin had all of the amenities you'd need for a night or even a week. The view of the stars at night was incredible from the site!read more
