We are in love! So this is a county campground so your first time booking may be a bit confusing to get through, but... when you arrive to the campground to check in the people are so helpful and kind and helped walk me through it. The sites are close together, but that wasn't an issue for us. There is a basketball hoop, playground, horseshoe pits, and flushing toilets. We also got to experience the river. It is AMAZING. My girls and I went river walking for about an hour and found some amazing spots to swim explore. We can't wait to go back next year.read more

Perfect place to take my three year old on her first camp trip this June.. So much fun that we booked another trip... before summer was over. Site 35/36/37/40 were a good choice for us with lots of grass for tents and running around. Other sites had much less space so be careful which one you book if you need room. We had 5 families in our group and booked three sites next to each other and it worked out really well. This place has great, child friendly, river access and swimming hole. No cell service in the camp which was lovely and Fred Meyers only ten miles away if we needed things like ice/camp wood, ect. They did sell wood on site as well and we bought a ton. On the August trip we all swam in the river and found a bunch of neat rocks. There is a generous sized playground, a sand pit, basketball hoop and flushing toilets (sometimes they would be clogged up though). Thanks to the camp host for being so kind and helpful (Felesha?!) She was the reason we booked another trip. Hoping we run into her at another park on the coast next summer.read more

We’ve been coming here for 30+ years. We always love our trips. We’ve had issues in the past with Camp Hosts but the... last two years with Ronni and Tim have been amazing. I will be sad to see them go at the end of the season. They have a lot on their plate with all of the restrictions but are handling everything so well. They are super friendly and truly made our experience this year wonderful.read more

This campground is awesome! We showed up on the day of and found a spot. They had them listed on the wall of the ranger... station right when you pull in. We showed up after it was closed and paid with cash. The campsite has showers, bathrooms, a basketball court, a playground, horseshoe, and is right next to a beautiful river with a rope swing! I can’t wait to go back.read more

The rates for the campground have increased by a fair bit and it is pretty expensive for dry camping. That said the... campground is well maintained and very pretty. The river is gorgeous and the experience was top notch. Fires are allowed in the pits only, but they're big so thats not a problem. The on-site staff are a bit rough around the edges but they have a lot to deal with so we tried to cut them some slack. Clean out your fire pit and campsite when you leave!read more

Most of the sites are open to each other, even the ones marked "secluded" on the website. There are no decent tent pads... at most sites, although some have reasonably flat areas. Half the sites are closed, which is a good thing. The camp hosts are not doing their job of enforcing quiet hours - the night I was there, there was loud music and shouting/screaming until past 1am. Bathrooms were clean, but no paper towels and the showers are closed. Overall, nowhere near worth the high price for sites.read more

There was a somewhat hidden fee with the tent situation as you'll see in the pictures. I didn't know when I showed up... that there was an additional tent fee. Luckily enough one person didn't show up so I got the car fee back just to give it back because of the tent fee. Other than that the place is nice, not a bunch of privacy in the front. Good looking places to fish if the water wasn't low.Side note covid restrictions seem to still be applied as every other campsite wasn't in use. Also with this year's drought hoot owl restrictions have been put in place by odfw.Current fees; additional vehicle $10 per nightAdditional tent $8 per nightPet fee $6$27 a night plus an $11 reservation feeread more

The campground is nice. But the manager of the park don't care about her campers at all she is thinking how much money... she can get from everyone.I had reservations for 3 nights and had local family members come out to the park to visit. She made them pay day use fee's and told them where my camp site was so she new how many came in to visit. We had two campsite so we made a big dinner and served it at one campsite then all are guess split up into each site. She came up just when started serving dinner and we did have 12 people but just getting there food. I did try to explain to here that we were splitting up so we would be under the 10 person rules. She counted the children in on the 10 person rule and all adults has had there vaccinations. But anyway she didn't won't an explanation on what we where trying dong to do, so she called the police to come and tell us to leave because she didn't feel safe coming to talk me. I don't know why but she made sure to charge all my family to get the money then come down and told us we where over 10 person rules.read more

This is such a great peaceful, small campground. The hosts, Ronni and Tim, we very helpful and kept everything super... clean and neat. I also appreciated how they were always around and available for any questions or for buying firewood, but I still felt that we had our privacy. Will definitely be back again this summer.read more

Go some place else, the camp host is not helpful and seems like we woke her from a nap, nor did she wear a mask,which... might just be the case since there was no one camping there. Also they have totally closed the swings, playground and toilets despite improving COVID mandates. Spend your $ elsewhereread more

This is a very beautiful spot on the Kilchis River. I camped here at the end of August, 2019 and enjoyed my stay... tremendously! I can not say enough good things about the camp hosts Ed and Dawn - they were so nice and made me feel at home, they do a great job. This campground is well-maintained - I highly recommend this campground.read more
